Born in 1989, Daniel Radcliffe secured his first professional acting role at the age of ten. His first part was playing a young David Copperfield in BBC’s David Copperfield. Following the T.V. movie, Radcliffe played Mark Pendel in The Tailor of Panama. Both films where successful, hosting a variety of big name stars. From the start of his career, Radcliffe was working with Maggie Smith, Bob Hoskins, Pierce Brosnan and Jamie Lee Curtis.The biggest role of the actor’s life was yet to come, and initially, Daniel (at the urging of his family) chose not to audition. But a chance meeting between David Heyman and Radcliffe’s father re-launched the actor’s chances for the role. Eventually, Radcliffe’s parents agreed that their son should audition for Harry Potter. The audition was a success, and at only eleven years old, Radcliffe landed the most influential part for any child star.Radcliffe has played the role of Harry Potter for all eight films. But as the movies come to a close, the star already has two films in the works: The Woman in Black and The Journey is the Destination.
